Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using FastQR, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, you shouldn't use our service. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and FastQR.

Description of Service

FastQR provides an online platform for creating, customizing, managing, and tracking QR codes. We offer both free and paid subscription plans with varying features and limitations. The service includes QR code generation, customization tools, analytics dashboards, and export functionality.

Account Registration

To use certain features of FastQR, you need to create an account. When you do:

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You're responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• One person or entity may not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations

Acceptable Use

You agree to use FastQR responsibly and legally. You may not:

• Create QR codes that link to illegal, harmful, or malicious content
• Use the service to distribute malware, viruses, or phishing attacks
• Create QR codes for spam, scams, or fraudulent purposes
• Violate any intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our service
• Use automated systems to scrape or copy content from FastQR
• Share your account credentials with others
• Create QR codes that contain child exploitation material, hate speech, or promote violence
• Overload our systems with excessive API requests or abuse the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Subscription Plans and Payments

FastQR offers both free and paid subscription plans:

• Free plans have limitations on QR code lifespan, features, and scan limits
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on your chosen plan
• Payment is processed through Stripe or Paddle, and you authorize recurring charges
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
• You're responsible for any taxes applicable to your subscription
• If payment fails, we may suspend your account until payment is resolved
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date

Data Retention and QR Code Deletion

To maintain optimal service performance and data integrity, FastQR implements the following data retention policies:

• QR codes that are marked as inactive or deactivated will be automatically deleted after 3 months of inactivity
• If you downgrade your subscription plan and exceed your new plan's QR code limit, excess QR codes will be marked as inactive
• You will receive email notifications before any QR codes are scheduled for deletion
• To prevent deletion, you can reactivate QR codes within the 3-month grace period by upgrading your plan or removing other QR codes
• Once deleted, QR codes and their associated analytics data cannot be recovered
• Anonymous QR codes created without an account may be deleted more frequently

We recommend regularly reviewing your QR codes and exporting important analytics data to ensure you don't lose valuable information.

Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you'll retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We don't provide refunds for partial months, but see our Return Policy for information about trial periods and money-back guarantees. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the content you create using FastQR, including the QR codes you generate. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the service to you.

Our Property: FastQR's code, design, features, branding, and documentation are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

Service Availability

We strive to keep FastQR available and running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We're not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastQR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

Disclaimer of Warranties

FastQR is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We don't guarantee that the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your requirements. We don't warrant the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the service.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FastQR from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of others.

Third-Party Services

FastQR uses third-party services like Stripe for payments and Supabase for hosting. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We're not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party service providers.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or other legitimate business reasons. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases, though certain provisions of these terms survive termination.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with FastQR, please contact us first at support@fastqr.io to try to resolve it informally. If we can't resolve it within 60 days, any legal disputes will be governed by the laws of the United States and resolved in the courts of appropriate jurisdiction. You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of FastQR after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FastQR regarding the service.
• Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our permission. We may assign our rights to any successor or affiliate.
